The Story Origin

OSU Guardians of Balance story is inspired by Lotfi El Gandhouri novel Will you dare? The book emerged from Lotfi's research, which examines how your community constellation behaves when you take a bold step. It is a tale about sustaining the spirit of audacity in life and taking risks during times of uncertainty. The book garnered interest from the general public, particularly from organizations like Nike, Desigual, 3M and PWC whose industries were shifting and who needed their teams to be more audacious. The concept sparked requests for conferences and workshops. This adventure led to the creation of more than 50 special editions for major brands. The fable was translated into seven languages.

Before the book was published, Lotfi conceived the idea of creating a movie and shared this vision with Fred Faubert. Fred had also been involved in the writing of Lotfi's book, providing feedback on story development. Ten years later, in 2017, Fred returned with a proposal to revive their shared dream. Together, they co-created a new universe and story, drawing on their respective experiences over the past decade as a storyteller and a brand builder. After reflecting on the brand, it's positioning, and the depth of its universe, characters, and content, they decided to redesign this universe. While the essence remained the same, the adventure evolved into something stronger and bigger, offering multiple opportunities to expand this universe and connect with its audience through various medias.
